Clean Lines, Private Spaces, and a Backyard Reimagined

On W. South Street, the homeowners wanted their backyard to feel more usable and secluded without sacrificing openness or charm. Their goal was to take an underused yard and turn it into a purposeful space that offered structure, privacy, and relaxation, all while complementing the existing architecture of their home.

Weaver’s Landscape Company designed a layout that connects key areas of the yard with a wide paver path, curving gently through a series of outdoor rooms. A covered pergola sits atop a raised brick platform, offering shade for lounge seating near the house. Further into the yard, the pavers open into a dining area and a circular fire pit gathering space framed with gravel and edged with block.

A new privacy fence lines the perimeter, blending natural wood with the surrounding landscape. Subtle lighting, planted borders, and a trio of stone fountains add softness and calm throughout. This project balances clean lines with organic shapes, offering privacy and function without overwhelming the yard’s natural feel.
