Tree Discriptions
White Pine
The White Pine has very soft, 2-5” long needles. It is very adaptable to transplanting and is known as one of the fastest growing evergreens. It is usually pyramidal when young but becomes wide-spreading and the branches take on a horizontal shape with age. Plant this tree in groups of 3 or 5 or in a line for screening or a windbreak. Grows 50 to 80' high and 20 to 40' wide.
Maple Red Sunset
If you are looking for a shade tree for your yard, then you don't need to look any further. The Red Sunset Maple is a beautiful tree throughout the season. Do you remember those red trees you saw in the fall? This is it!!! In the spring red buds open to reddish tinted leaves changing to a medium or dark green summer color. In the fall the leaves change to brilliant -red to red color. This is the tree to plant if you want to filter the hot afternoon sun and lower your cooling bills. Grows to 40-60' ft. high and similar spread.

Maple (Royal Red)
Are you looking for a shade tree that is not just a typical green Maple tree? The Royal Red Maple
is a large growing shade tree with dark maroon foliage all summer long. You might have heard of the Crimson King Maple before. The Royal Red is basically identical but it is a little more cold hardy then the Crimson King. This tree is not as fast growing as Red Sunset Maple. It forms a rounded crown with 4-7” wide leaves. Use this one as a single specimen or make a statement by lining your drive way with it. Grows to 50' high and 40' wide.
Plum (Thundercloud)
Would you like a maroon – purple tree but don't have room for the Royal Red Maple? Here is a great selection in an ornamental size tree. In the spring this tree is loaded with fragrant, single pink
flowers. Ruby red new leaves turn to dark purple in time to contrast with the pink flowers. This tree needs full sun to hold its dark color. Grows 20' high and wide.
Chanticleer Pear
The Chanticleer Pear tree is a very adaptable upright growing tree. This tree is outstanding in April when it is covered in white blooms. This variety has proven to be a strong tree and is widely used as a “street tree” in town or if you have a narrow yard. The 2” long leaves turn from a shiny deep green to a reddish purple in fall. The brown fruit is small and rounded hanging at the end of a 2” -3” stem. It works well in pairs flanking a drive or lining a street or driveway. Grows to 35ft high and 16ft wide in 15 years.

Fir Douglas
The Douglas Fir tree is one of the most adaptable evergreens for our area. If you are needing a wind block or need to screen an unwanted view in your yard, than the Douglas Fir is happy to fill the need. It is uniformly pyramidal and its 1-1/2” long needles are blue- green and are friendly to the touch. Plant this one in a row for screening or in groups of 3 or 5. Grows 40ft + and 12 to 20 ft. wide.
